Considering one of these current Feinwerkbau Sport rifles. There's not much info out there however. Wondering if anyone's had some experience with one. Looking for an honest critique of the rifle. $600 is allot of money to gamble with. There's no aftermarket tune kit available so it'll be difficult to improve on stock performance. So how does she shoot. Twang? Vibration? Dwell time? Trigger? From what I've been able to gather, accuracy is Feinwerkbau all the way so I know that I'd be pleased there. Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.
There have been discussions on another forum, one example is

I really like mine. It's worth $600.00. Everything about it is perfect. Fit and finish and the best factory rear iron sight I have ever seen. I shoot mine with iron sights. Accuracy is same or better than HW and Diana breakbarrels that I own. I bought mine from Flying Dragons. Mike put in a new spring guide. Most users don't think it is necessary. Think of it as a HW30/R7 with 13 ft/lbs of energy. Yer gonna love it.
My other nice breakbarrels are Diana gas ram 340, Diana 34, Crosman Trail, R7,R9. The Sport is my favorite.

my guess is this rifle has come and went
you normally don't see hug price reductions when that are either selling well or still available
you go to Feinwerkbau site and they are not list but the site has changed for the worse in the last 6 month so i could have missed them
checked there 2020 catalogs it is not there, so A of A might have the last of them in the states
Krale lists them as Discontinued
it could now or never
Harsh shooting, and have compression tube issues.
Wonderful looking guns, but they dropped the ball on quality control and choosing a decent powerplant.
I would definitely pass at anywhere near that $600 mark.
The wide range of opinions tells you that it is a very misunderstood rifle.
I paid far too little for mine, and more as an experiment than anything else.
Still to get to a "true solution", but I'm confident there is one.
It will NOT be "perfect" OoB, so be aware.
Expect the whole project to reach around $1,000 to deliver truly the potential of the barrel and the design.
JMHO.

Peculiar styling. The trigger guard came off a 70's El Gamo.
My $.02 ain't worth a dime
I really like mine. Got it from Champions Choice. Easy to cock and smooth. Light and crisp trigger. Accurate and the best rear open sight I have ever seen on any gun. Quality of mine is over the top; perfect. My stock is gorgeous - my only complaints are that I wished it came in Walnut not Beech and that it was offered in .22 cal. As I put more and more pellets thru it the shooting cycle continues to get better and better. The Brits have done more with this gun as far as tuning is concerned and the consensus with those folks is this gun is a keeper. There are a few folk here in the U.S. that have done "tunes" on the new Sport and my understanding is that it has made improvements in the gun. I'm not ready to that just yet because mine operates fine the way it came out of the box.
I don't want to be a kill joy here but I will put forth my 2 cents, not that it makes any difference. It's all subjective. Lots of folks here just parrot what they have heard someone else say. For me who cares. I have handled 3 examples, never owned one and there is a reason I never bought one. Does that mean it's a bad air gun ? No ! It just means that it was NOT to my liking.
I have been air gunning for many decades enough that I HAVE learned a thing or two. No matter the subject guitars, motorcycles, air guns. Some people just have the need to aspire to be a god in what ever hobby they happen to like. We see it all the time here. People resort to doing math and equasions and what not desiring to be thought of as smart or something.
In the end who really cares. Weather a car, motorcycle, guitar or air gun it's just and object NOT a status symbol. I happen to like and own HW 55s But the master Jim Macarri does not think they are that great. I respect the man and his opinions as he has forgot more about air guns than I will ever know. The bottom line is that if YOU like it and are pleased with it. That is all that matters. For me the air arm is over priced for what it is. That is just me.
Having said all of that I have 4 of the old FWB 124s. Are they perfect ?? Heck no but I like them and they bring me joy. Shoot straight, stay safe and have fun

I forgot to mention the checkering is lazer cut overlapping "fish scales". Under magnification they are unique. Pretty sharp texture and about as good as conventional diamond/pyramid checkering. I really like the look. I agree with Wijib's comment that quality is over the top.
Razor. Let me start by saying that there does not exist a spring rifle made no matter make or model that with give one “instant gratification” right out if the box. The Sport is no different. The real question is, are you willing to take the time and dedication to bring this rifle to peak performance?!?! I don’t mean tuning, sunnen honing, etc. I mean trigger time. When i first got my Sport, believe me, there was no warm fuzzy feeling in my heart for this rifle. I thought it harsh shooting and over sprung. But from my past experience with the old Sporters, i had no doubts that this rifle would come into its own if i put in the work and effort. And surprisingly enough, the Sport did not disappoint, and continues to improve with more use. Now to be fare, i did perform a slot tune with some tar and moly and that helped out some to an extent, but good old ‘accurizing’ has paid off a very nice return for my investment. I did a review of the Sport on the aforementioned forum listed/linked above in another posters post.
I plan to break it down and perform a full tune on my Sport when I complete my new workshop, but for the time being, i will shoot it as it is and it will only continue to get better. It has calmed down quite a bit and not near as jumpy or harsh as it was out of the box. One last tidbit…….a bonus if you will. The trigger is alot better than the Sporters of old. No aftermarket blade needed in my opinion. I wouldn't recommend messing with the factory settings either. It will also improve with continued. shooting. So much that sometimes i will misfire and still hit the target?. Pretty good if not better than an out of the box Weihrauch.
So there you have it, my personal testimony on this rifle, but the question remains,….are you willing to put in the work?!? If you are, you will be pleasantly rewarded by one of the finest spring guns made by one of the best airgun manufacturers in the world. Good luck with your decision. I know whatever you decide, it will be the best decision for you! TK
I've been into and tuned IIRC @ 5 or 6 of these in the past couple years.
Great rifles being mechanically SOLID !!
Most have a LOOSE fitting piston seal that really needs replacing. You can use an HW35 seal or a special FWB one ( can't tell there difference ) from ARH that will require correct sizing for tube fit.
Spring guide is STEEL and under size by a lot !! A Custom guide and washer required to tighten it up.
All done they shoot with a THUD shot cycle and trigger is very nice when correctly adjusted.
It is a QUALITY "Field Gun" or a Very good FT gun.
