I have one delivered Thursday. I read a 2017 post that when this rifle was delivered to a guy, it was so dry he had to tear down and relube.

Do you own one and did you have the same experience? Should I use RWS Chamber oil with the long skinney tube?

The owners manual says to use after a 1000 shots.

I don't want to tear this down. I am intimidated after seeing a U Tube on replacing the seal.

TIA

Don,

The 340 is a gas spring.

All lubing has been done already at the NTec plant in Germany.

Don't use your gun without having set it up overnight in a muzzle down position.

Do not lube the inside of the compression chamber.

If you have Ultimox oil, you can put two or three drops where the stem meets the body of the Gas spring and action the rifle without fully cocking it a few times.

Try to store it muzzle down and always action the rifle without cocking one or two times before seriously sitting down to shoot.

All I wrote about the Mauser AM03 applies to all NTec guns.

I have a Diana 340 N-TEC Classic on its way from AOA.  I hear they are a joy to shoot according to Jared.
