1967 Crosman M1 all done ? top to bottom inside and out. the muzzle was real bad probably from some kid push it against things to cock it. So completly refinished it. The stock is a wood one and has been shortened a bit so its owner could use it I suppose. pretty sweet little gun!

Great restoration job! It looks really good.

One exactly like that was my very first airgun. I absolutely wore it out for years, and it shot really hard (especially if you juiced it with enough of mom's sewing machine oil, LOL). It took out quite a few innocent bystander sparrows, and would shoot a BB through both sides of one of those old-style 6-ounce Coke bottles...

@septicdeath

hi I saw your post regarding refinishing your Crosman M1 BB gun

I’m trying to do the same thing. Please send me the link to your post. I’m hoping it explains exactly how you achieved the results you did.

thanks Rob

I used a soft wire brush on the zinc alloy parts. A big one and small ones in my Fordom handpeice

soft wire brush

. The biuing on the gun was in pretty good shape. Used the large wheel on all parts. And fine steel wool. I believe I purchased the seals and pop valve from jgairguns. Everything was blued new seals then re assembled. The stock was in good shape for its age. It was only oiled.

Nice report - as always. Your posts provide practical information that can be quite helpful.

What sort of finish did you use on the pot metal? Tia - Farmer Steve.

@septicdeath

Did you refinish the metal?  If so, what did you use to re-blue the metal?

Thanks, Rob

I have a Crosman M1 BB gun, purchased in 1967 with my brother for "NRA" target practice.     It was stored in my Dad's garage for years and I found it when my Mom passed away.   It was in decent shape but need to be refurbished, which I did.    The only issue is that the slide handle it broken.

I would love to replace it.

Any idea of where I can get a replacement part for it.

THANKS for any help.

JG Airguns:

Rick at Precision Pellet maybe:

You can also always try Ebay and see if anyone has parts for sale.
