I recently received a custom shop 1300 from Crosman and there is a divot on the top of the barrel. Is this the norm or? Just doesn’t look like it should be like this to me. It is a 14.6 inch Crosman barrel. Thanks, Jim

Thank you for the reply. I found it weird considering it came from the Custom shop.

but how did they miss that, if you watch there video that gun had to go threw a half a dozen hands and I have to assume the barrel is for a 2400 because that is about where the barrel band would go

it is beyond careless

Well I received a replacement barrel and it has the same divot in it.... Crosman responded with “ all barrels of that length now have that divot so they can be used on multiple models” Buyer beware I guess. If anyone has bought a Custom shop gun with a 14.6 inch barrel lately that does not have the divot please post a pic. Regards,James

well you can live with it or cover it up, you can get stainless thin walled tubing, K&S precision metal makes some that would work 87123 it is 1/2 inch with 22 gauge walls 1/32 would need put a tape spacer on the top of the barrel I use 1/4 inch pin strip tape for such spacing

tape the barrel and grease it up slip on the cover, but you have to take it apart to do that

so is it worth all the trouble, that is something you would have to decide

and for the Crosman side of things, that is as lame as it gets, I can't really type what I'm thinking
