Hello to all,

Does anyone have any experience with the crosman model 600?

I've scoured the web and YouTube with little success.

My 600 has the issue with the pellet shuttle traveling beyond the magazine loading sweet spot when firing and causing jams.

I have tried adjusting both grub screws but no luck. It seems the cam somehow got out of alignment causing the shuttle to travel further than designed.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Robert

Hi Robert.  I had a similar issue and was able to take a little bit of the twist out of the rod with a vise and wrench.  Just a tiny tweak was enough.    Might only be a temporary fix if the square hole in the cam ring is becoming rounded.

@tinker

Thanks for your reply!

I do believe that has to be what is going on. I did read about twisting the cam bit here's my problem, how the heck do I get it out?

The same post where I read about the cam said he used needle nose pliers, no way! I tried 3 different pairs I have and they will not bite, unless I grind down the profile.

Do you have a link showing how the cam comes out? I've searched youtube but nothing.

Thanks!

Robert

Ah yes, that is a bit tricky - I had mine completely apart.  The best explanation I've seen is on "another airgun blog".   Google it if the the link gets whacked.   Not entirely sure what links are and are not permitted.

Good luck, Phil

Call Rick Wilnecker at Precision Pellet. He’ll help you. Has parts too. Or send him the gun to fix. Great guy!

Thanks guys!

I swear I did check "just another airgun blog" for info on the 600! I'm a little embarrassed that I missed that. I've read many articles on other pistols from that blog that have helped me out in the past.

Thanks again for all your input ? I hope I'll be able to return the favor one day.
