I asked Crosman for a spreadsheet comparing pellet weight/velocity versus #of pumps for the 1300KT with LW .177 14.6" barrel.  The answer I got was not really helpful.  So I thought I'd ask this forum - before I buy...

Answer from Crosman:

Listed below are the velocities for this model with the various barrels:
1300KT 10.1 .177 CROSMAN 529
1300KT 10.1 .22 CROSMAN 475
1300KT 14.6 .22 CROSMAN 486
1300KT 18.0 .177 CROSMAN 629
1300KT 18.0 .22 CROSMAN 532
1300KT    14.6 .177 LW                   522
1300KT    14.6  .22  LW                  460
Thank you,
Angel

I can't even say this is good info.  I can only assume the values are max velocities at 10 pumps using an unknown test pellet.  I also noticed the LW values are consistently lower - perhaps due to the choke?  And the only way to get a .177 14.6" barrel is to buy the LW version.

Some homework?  When I bought my .177 2300KT, I was in a similar situation with no info from Crosman.  I did research from seller websites, like Pyramyd, and pieced together what looked like reasonable performance data - it was way off, by a long shot.  So I don't think I'll repeat that endeavor only to get bogus data cobbled together from bits and pieces.

So please, if any of you have any velocity versus #of pumps data for a .177 1300/1377, I'd greatly appreciate it!  I'd be happy with any valid data or knowledge from experience as I can probably adapt/interpret that to my situation with some degree of reality.

Here are some very old numbers...

1377 (stock 10.5" bbl).

MVs -- (shooting 7.9gr Copperhead semi-pointeds)

2 pumps = 306fps = 1.6fpe
4 pumps = 419fps = 3.1fpe
5 pumps = 460fps = 3.7fpe
6 pumps = 479fps = 4.0fpe
8 pumps = 525fps = 4.8fpe
10 pumps = 552fps = 5.3fpe

(shooting 10.5gr. CPHs)

2 pumps = 260fps = 1.6fpe
4 pumps = 363fps = 3.1fpe
6 pumps = 422fps = 4.2fpe
8 pumps = 460fps = 4.9fpe
10 pumps = 480fps = 5.4fpe

Thanks for your input so far!!!  I have ordered a 1300KT via Crosman Custom Shop, and ordered a 3-piece power-up kit from Alchemy Airwerks.  That kit allows up to 20 pumps that, in theory, should yield over 700FPS using a .177 7.9gr pellet.  I want to use Predator MetalMags which are 8.5gr.  This should be right where I want my new machine to be.

I will set up my chronograph, and test the unmodified followed by the fully modified machine.  When I have the data, I'll resurrect this post and post the data.
