Just got one of these.

Can't shoot single action.

Hammer hangs up after a couple of shots and I have to take it apart.

Don't know whats causing the problem.

Neat looking plinkers. There's a bunch on Ebay. Several years ago I got into the Daisy model 93's co2 BB pistols. Similar to the 1008. More like a Browning High Power. I've got 4 or 5. They are bb only and double action, hammer stationary. The also come in black and black and silver. Got one in a case that also holds couple tubes of bb's, 4 co2 carts and a spare mag. Got about 7 spare mags. Painted the grips on one flat white. One that was beat up I sprayed flat black. Maybe I need a 1008. Fun little guns.

Have had it apart about 8 times now. Seems to be hanging up on the sear for single action.

Take it out and double action works fine. With it in, double action also works fine, until you cock it for single.

Then it gets caught. Have to dismantle it to get it free.

Lastly, polished everything and lubed, to see what happens next. 😮

A vendor on ebay has a 1008 with a case, couple of co2 carts and 6 spare mags. Wants too much. If you click on his other items he has one with a case and the 1008 looks gold plated. Wants too much for that one also.

So far, so good. Deburring the metal trigger/hammer components and lightly greasing and it hasn't hung up since.

After wasting 2 carts at first, I don't put the co2 in when I'm trying it. It didn't come with pellet clips, so I'll wait until they get here this week.

If I take it apart again, I'll secure the weights so they don't rattle.

@matchstickshooter I've seen the 1008 before but not the C40 until I googled it today. If you like them you might like the Daisy model 93 co2 BB pistol. A bunch on ebay as well as 1008's. A couple 93's with spare mags for sale and one with a 93 case for bid.

@tim_ward

Have had one or two over the years, and parted with them. Good bb shooters.

Also, recently had the Daisy 5501 with spare mags, and sold it consignment.

But a rifled barrel and fully adjustable rear sight rings my bell ! LOL

Parted company with a Vigilante, only to wind up with a free CR357. A keeper.

There's another out there to watch for...Crosman 2210 in .22 caliber, 7 shot clip.

I have a 5501 and spare mags. Also have a  Vigilante and a Triple Threat. Also have 357/6 and a 357/8 barrel on a couple other Vigilantes.

Seems the black and silver 93's were called 93C and the last version they made with the accessory rail on the bottom of the frame 93A. Just ordered a 93A of ebay. Not sure if I have an A. Fun stuff.

My clips came in for the 1008. This thing is a riot! 😎

Remember now that the 1088 I had for a short time didn't have fully adjustable rear sight.

This one is better.
