Almost new = It's been behind the seat of my truck since just before Covid.
Completely rebuilt = I Ceracoated it "Flat Dark Earth."
Many custom parts and upgrades = I've been inside there with a Dremel.
Will pay any reasonable price = Better not be over a hunnert bucks.
Crosman Custom Shop = Experiment in modularity carried to a ridiculous extreme.
Vintage = Rusted almost beyond recognition.
"I've got more than that in parts" = "I didn't know when to quit."
"I'll part it out before I take that offer." = "I took it apart and can't put it back together."
Package deal = Absolutely cr@p scope.
Target trigger = It'll go off if the cat walks past it.
Target grips = Took a wood rasp and a half a pound of wood putty.
Tuned = I put a new spring in it twenty years ago.
Professionally reblued = Scratches touched up with a Sharpie.
Refinished stock = Scratches touched up with a brown crayon.
Did I miss any?
These are most likely to be used by eBag sellers
Good condition for it's age
Normal wear
Has a nice patina
No pellets for it but it makes a loud bang.
I don't know much about these
Worked perfect when I put way......in 1972
Light handling marks......nothing bigger than 3 inches long and 1/4 inch deep
Yep, only 300k shots, low miles……
Not generally found in an classifieds ad, but one we all get from potential buyers occasionally - "What's your best price?" - dude, my best price is the one I stated in the ad, I really like that price a lot.
If you want to lowball, just say; "would you accept $***" so we do not waste each others time.
Better than new!
My all-time fave ad phrase: "single pump" = "I don't know the first friggin' thing about airguns, let alone the diff between spring-piston and single-stroke pneumatic actions (oh, and it's most likely a springer I've left cocked for the last couple months)."
I would respond to that only if accompanied by REALLY good photos of something I REALLY want (which, so far, is never).

Well said! Do people REALLY expect me to rip myself off on their behalf?
Shoots HARD!
but we are the few
if you took 1000 people how many would know anything about airguns not one
the guy on Ebay i emailed yesterday that was selling a very rusty Slavia Tex for 500.00 i would have paid him to keep it
we all are looking for deals, a steal and now days there are few to be found
people with deep pockets and are let's say fools have ruined it for many of us
sellers do what sellers do but they do something for us they make us laugh at their ads
we here are not fools and we know what is what
