I've used both and found the gtx to be much better.

Ive tried a grt in 3 guns- 2008-2009 g1, quest, and phantom. The grt had the hair trigger problem in each gun. I got it sort of working by running it without the "fat pin," but it has a sluggish 1st stage, I need to be careful not to pull through the 2nd stage wall,  and I cannot get the 2nd stage creep adjusted out.

The gtx I dropped into one gun,  a 2015ish titan, and it worked perfectly with a tiny bit of adjustment per the instructions that came with it. Smooth and easy 1st stage, solid second stage wall, and crisp break.

I sold the titan, so i can't try swapping the blades around to see if the grt works correctly in the newer gun, but given my experience, I'd chose the gtx over the grt.

Have fun!

I can vouch for the GTX triggers also.I have put them into 2 Benjamin Titans , and 1 Benjamin Trail NPXL 1500.They were a quick and easy drop in mod, that worked so well that I didn't even make any adjustments after the installation. The most radical improvement , by far , was in the Trail rifle. My groups sizes  were cut down to less than half as a result.Although that rifle is still quite heavy ,the GTX mod. made it a joy to shoot where it otherwise wasn't.I would not even consider that other trigger because of its failings.

I sent in an order for the GRT-4G (Gamo trigger) in the 2nd week of December.  Never heard back from CDT.  I've sent a couple of emails since also with no response.  Anyone else actually receive something from this supplier lately?  I had purchased and installed a GRT-III a while back and the transaction was super smooth.

I'm 99.9% sure I have this right, but if not, someone will please kindly correct me.

It appears that CDT CharlieDaTuna, whose real name was Bob Werner, passed away in April of 2016.  If so, that would obviously explain the lack of response you got.

There were some back and forth proceedings a few years back regarding the modified triggers--I see no need to muddy the water with any details here--and this forum has since moved on to support the GTX version of the trigger modification, which does work according to many reports.  As mentioned above, I think you'll find that the latter is still available at a modest price, and that there are many happy buyers and installers of the same.

There is an announcement to be found of CDT/Bob Werner's passing.  You can find it by doing a Google search of "bob werner charlie da tuna".  While it's listed on another forum, I hope that doesn't present a problem.  That is, the intent is not to promote that forum, but to make it clear why further attempts to get in touch with Bob W. would appear to be, again, futile in nature.

HTH.

This myth is more likely than not backwards. The GTX is the version that is supplied by the designer, the other is a knockoff and may not even be to spec.

I have a couple GTX triggers and they are the genuine article.

I didn't know that he had passed away. Thanks for everything Bob. May he rest in peace.

Seems like a pretty remarkable (!) lack of communication from whomever's currently paying the rent on that site and specifically requiring cash(or equivalent) prepayment with order.

I heard from the site's current owner via email.  My GRT-4G is to ship on Monday!

I also took a look at https://www.charliedatuna.com/about.htm which tells the story of "Charlie" from Bob Werner, to Gene Curtis and to Gene's wife Cathy.   The site indicates that she has been "Charlie" since November 2014 and continues to operate the business.
