so i don't know anything about this but i can read diagrams and picture fairly well

and i'm think that if you have to remove the factory safety pin out of the rifle you have some serious disassemble

but again what the hell do i know

A Call to FX would be a good idea they can tell you what you need to do and then you can determine if it is worth the trouble if indeed it is what a see

Thanks for helping out. I guess you could be right. I shouldn't of purchased it. can you believe no instructions and also no up dated FX Impact manual ? It's the old version. Oh well can never have perfection I guess. I thought 3000 bucks aught to do it ? Be well,

so something is holding the factory safety pin, shaft in place but in have no idea what that might be or how to even look to see and i didn't see it was listed as even a part, the shaft that is

no instruction might mean they are lazy or it is too involve to even make an attempt

so where to from here, give up or learn how to do it

i'm an old man and in those years i have done things, maybe in a different way

taken some ease parts off and take a look an learn how the rifle was assembled, if that does give up an answer try another area and so on

all the time you will learn about the rifle and learn how to fix a problem that might pop up

but also you might learn to put that new safety in or just say it isn't worth it

i have always called that a look and see way to fix something, there is replacement for confidents

tell if what you find

Hi Mike ,

yes definitely , I hope I don't seem lazy I just very much suck at fixing things any thing really. But I am a master at breaking stuff. I believe in safety's. I am 53 yrs old and was taught to shoot at 10 yrs old by a Hungarian Olympic shooter. But he respected safetys profoundly. Also I don't want to put out that much energy for a non essential item. Factory safety works great. I do speed shoot all the time. I time myself. But I'm not sloppy in my hand transitions. So I don't mind the Impact's safety at all. I just like the anodized blue color of the K&L. So I will leave this matter with my Airgun tuner buddy. His name is Ace. I would love to learn how to replace seals and tune my own rifle. I won't be lazy there lol. But any advise you give me is much appreciated. Because I'm not so savvy with repair and such I do need instructions , videos, live chats, Voodo magic luck spells etc. etc. lol. I couldn't even spell repare. Cheers Mike ,

I would send it to Ernest at FX.  It would probably cost less than $100 including shipping and you would have a working gun.  His turn around was quick when I used him.

Captain Air, no thought about you being lazy

i've have done many Diana model 6 rebuilds but i don't think i would do a model 75 rifle

there is something i learn early in life, if you can't put the clock back together, don't take it apart

the maker of this part should have stated the level of difficulty to install the part and i would email them telling them just that or if it is simple to install tell me how to complete installation

to assume something on a sellers or buyers part should be address at the point of sales not after it crosses the pond and just ends up in the parts draw

and would you have bought the part if you knew you had to send it out and back and spend 2 way shipping and the cost of the said maybe 100 bucks to install, i wouldn't

this is a hobby that can be expensive and the more you can do the better

some people can and some people can't and some like myself make decisions on purchases on there ability to be self repairs

i see guns that i'm interested in owning but there are no parts or they are hard to rebuild and don't buy

but I ramble

take care

Hey Mike , I wish I can take a pic of it for ya. It's actually damaged. Like crushed on one side and a scrape mark wow?  I got it from a local dealer I will call him now. I like your clock theory I agree. But I will try and learn the Impact. Shoots  real tight shot strings like flat , 1 fps variances just by fluke on my part lol.

Cheers Mike

so i looked at the safety one more time and on the end it has 2 indents and those would be for a ball held in place with a spring

and that ball and spring in part number C18 and C19, if you follow the line it goes up in the area where that safety lives

so the safety post i'm guess would pull out with the ball and spring removed

but without the rifle in hand it is hard to say how to get to it and it seems the bottom trigger guard har to come off and a whole bunch of other stuff

is there a set screw under there that leads the the spring and ball

i'm a bit of a dog with a bone sometimes but it how i address my projects
