Gotta say WOW! $62 delivered from the UK in 9 days. I chose mint turquoise because I thought it the best match for my dyed 753 stock. Not a bad match. (I also ordered a blue one for my Tau 200. Pics of that one after I install it.) Installation took only a couple of minutes, and adjustment is a breeze. Let me say this before you ask: once you lock it down, it DOES NOT move. Very solid.
Spacer is 3/4" fypon trim material, painted with rattle-can epoxy. I made the spacer years ago. I didn't like the look or feel of the Daisy factory stacked spacers. Before this new butt, I had installed a Bisley adjustable. It worked well, but was heavy. This one restores a very nice, ever-so-slight nose-heavy balance, which makes target float less wobbly. (I took the Bisley and installed it on my Diana 34N. Had to cut the beautiful beech stock, which was scary, but it worked out great. Looks and feels fantastic.)
Tomorrow I'll post pictures of the other BSB I bought for my Tau 200. Can't say enough about these remarkable butt pads. Super-adaptable, and VERY reasonably priced compared to what's out there for adjustable butt-hooks. To find them, just google BSB HFT
Angle is user adjustable. As is height, and the angle of both wings. From reading on the British forums, many FT folks prefer to invert it and put the curved arm on top. Right now, I prefer having the curved arm on the bottom, functioning as a true butt hook. But time will tell. There's so much to play with!
Here are some pics of the other one on my Tau 200. His HFT500 base plate was a perfect fit.
These models you got have a very different design from the American ones I'm used to seeing in the past. I didn't read every post I admit, but will it in just in all directions? In other words, up down, left right, and four cant?
I can't seem to recall the names of the ones I saw before. Pachmyr comes to mind, but I think maybe those we're just simple although good quality butt pads.
here is your answer, the carrier seems to have round sides, so it will turn

So, this is how I finally completed my 10M QB build. Granted this one shoots a little hotter than most 10M guns. Not sure exactly, because "My Little Combro" doesn't like CO2 guns that much. I found the stock on the classifieds a few years ago, and it came to me with just a raw wood butt. Found the alu spacer and plate God knows where. I added the inletted accessory rail, from Rockler, I think. Red anodized alu. Trigger has been massaged to near perfection. Side-lever breach from Archer. 1st generation wedge brake de-bounce. (Still working just fine!) I run this thing on either the pictured Rap4 2X 12G or preferably Daisy 2.5OZ CO2 cylinders. (Both of mine are currently empty.) I got lucky on the barrel. All I've done is the basic brass screw crown dressing. This is the gun I used in the "Show us your amazing groups" post. Like I said in that post, I can do much better with this thing when I really try.
I got started on this project a few years ago, because I always wanted a Tau 200, but couldn't find/afford one, so I set out to build my own. Well I've since acquired said Tau 200, and frankly this Frankenstein QB can ALMOST beat it.
I did a lot of research on the British forums before I bought these things. I learned some interesting things. Most UK FT shooters choose to reverse the wings, putting the curved one on top, and the straight one below. This makes sense to me. Most FT rigs have large scopes, and are relatively centrally weighted. So you can "hang" the rifle between your shoulder and your support arm.
My 3 target rifles have a decided nose-heavy balance. With the curved hook on the bottom, I can put my support hand in a position where the gun just SITS there when shouldered, without using my trigger hand for any support. My trigger hand is just steering the sights and pulling the trigger.
Either way, you can configure these things for upward or downward weight on the butt. For my use, I prefer upward moment at the butt. If I had a gun with a big scope or a heavy stock, I could easily reconfigure it to accommodate a downward moment at the butt.
