These were from the glory days of airguns. Made in Japan. Not all of my air guns liked them but the ones that did, really really liked them. I had an old FWB 124 which was super accurate at 35 yards with them.
I know that assembly machines wear out but this pellet was a cult classic and my old Sheridans loved them too. Why can't they be brought back

H&N has a similar pellet. You might find this thread interesting

Will let you decide how close the H&N knock-offs are to the originals.

None of my guns liked them. I have a couple boxes of .177 somewhere I've been thinking about putting on Ebay.

We are lucky to have 10 other pellets that are much better in basically every way.

The glory days are right now.  Slugs are now extending the range of airguns never thought possible.

Those silver jets sucked in every gun I tried them in except an R7 at 10M.  I have at least 2 cases of them.  Will sell them at $200/box?  You know it's worth it.  Doc Beeman went to great lengths to even say they were lathe turned.

Thanks guys for all the input ! They did not work well in a lot of arms, but if your barrel liked them they worked great. Today I have a 177 cal P-1 which shoots them very well and I still have that FWB 124 which prefers the jets. Not an end all of pellets but they worked a treat in SOME arms.
Many years ago I had a 20 cal Beeman R-1 in 20 cal which loved them too. For me it was not about the looks or cool factor. It was just that they worked so will in some duties.
thanks again

No, he never said they were lathe turned, he said they looked like they were lathe turned.

As I recall, the Silver Ace were pretty damn good pellets. Same fake "lathe-turned" rings, but a semi-dome face. At the time, they were just about the most consistent pellets you could find. My Sheridan HB and R1AW .20 loved them. MUCH better than the Sheridan cylindricals available at the time.

Jets, not so much missing them, but Aces, yeah.

I remember the aces well and they wer a great all around pellet. You know the only constant in life is change... BUT as in most things in life change is not always for the better or positive.
Remember stero recievers in the late 60s and the 70s ?? Much better sounding than the crap we have today, at least to my ears.
Oh well give me a old springer and a old 70 receiver and I am a happy camper. Too damn bad we can't go back !! and these days are not the glory days no matter what we are talking about.

Yeah, I'm listening to my Harman Kardon Citation 15 Professional FM tuner (most folks don't know FM can sound so good practically 0 background noise) through my Citation 11 preamp and (warm) Citation 12 Amplifier. Industrial build quality. Fully serviceable. Easy to work on. Nothing built like it today. Built to last generations

I just found a full box of 177 aces in the attic. And a full box of 177 jets out  in my shop. Some partial boxes around. Some in 22. I bought these at the local Beeman dealer years ago. Maybe they bring a C note some day? Was so lucky to have a local Beeman dealer. Couldn't believe my wife went there and bought me an HW55. What a Christmas surprise that was! We weren't married yet. She's cool ❤️ . 32nd in 3 weeks. ?

Still got the box too

You wanna go back? I'm listening thru a Realistic receiver, with an Optimus turntable thru a Technics graphic equalizer, played out thru 4 Realistic Minimus 7s.

Sounds WONDERFUL. I miss Radio Shack!

10 boxes.  I bet producing this case broke the lathe!  What am I looking at here?  $2,000?

Many don't realize Radio Shack sold some (not all but) very very good components manufactured by well known and high quality Japanese companies. Even some of their speakers were very good and looked past by many. Steered away from by stereo salesmen that were sometimes selling you something inferior. I have a set of RS  Nova 8A speakers that are surprisingly good with a crossover mod..  The Minimus 7 can also benefit from some crossover modifications to make them even better. Some of the RS receivers are legendary. Just look and see who manufactured those.

Nobody hardly repairs the newer stuff because it isn't usually worth it.

Sorry to hijack but the OP did mention a 70's receiver ? ?

I think they're $40 or 50 a box on eBag sold listings for the Beeman's. Hard to imagine lathe turned pellets now. Look at the price of some swaged pellets. Jetts must have been swaged and then turned.  Swaging can turn out a lot of pellets high speed. They must have had several automated lathe setups operating at once to maintain production numbers.

Things can be turned without being lathe turned.

Those pellets were rolled, therefore turned, but not in a lathe.

H&N' version is made by swaging, so the skirt weight is much higher than in the originals, moving the CoG to the rear, and to the detriment of the balance that the older pellets had.

I have some boxes of the old ones that I use for testing purposes. They throw much light into what the preferences of the barrel are, and in that role, they are irreplaceable in their usefulness.

Longest kill with a air rifle was with a silver streak and Beeman silver jet pellet . I hit a feral rooster at 63 paces. There where 3 pecan trees at the back of our property and an orange Grove to the side . That  old Sheridan rolled  many squirrels out of those trees with the silver jet pellet.

I hunted wild life management areas with a Sheridan silver streak and a Ruger Blackhawk in 41 Magnum

I remember them from back in the day I had ordered them late 70's for my Sheridan .20 and shot all of them in a couple of weeks. They were the hunter game changer pellet of the era. Very uniform and recall beeman mentioning lathe tuned. I ordered two tins later for my Beeman Webley tempest and still have the original packaging but with only one pellet left. I hope they return to the market, I would order them and test them in my newer arms. I wish Beeman would have remained the market maker they used to be.

Just keep your eye on eBag and pay through the nose for them. There's always a gold digger with some listed. BTW anything was better than Sheridan or Crosman, etc. pellets from those days.

I have a few boxes around here. Not going to shoot them. Will do a little gold diggin' myself someday.
