Guys,
My brother has been using his Gen3 TX200 in Hunter Division Field Target. We want to tune this rifle to maximize accuracy and to smooth firing cycle. So, should we put in the Vortek PG2 kit, the PG2 Kit with Krytox lube, ARH-Jim Maccari stuff, or what? Help, please! Let us know what worked the best for you and what you recommend.

I had motorhead do his magic on the trigger.
He put in a custom DELRIN spring follower.
8.64grain, 4.52mm at 885fps.

My experience is that a maccari spring is slightly softer then Vortek. Both are nice don't get me wrong. Tune for 13-14 ftlbs. The MKIII can easily handle more power but under 14 ftlbs pretty sweet.

I’m a fan of the Vortek kits. The SHO version with a coil or two removed should get you around 13-14 foot pounds which is where I like my TX for FT. If you call Vortek they will fix you up.

Hard to beat a Motorhead tune. If I didn't work on my own guns, I would send it to him.
Have shot many of his tuned guns and all have been exceptional.
You need to tune your TX to whatever pellet you plan to shoot. For FT, I would use JSB 8.44 Exacts. What works best for me is a Vortek O-ring piston seal and a spring out of my junk pile. I think the spring was a .118 spring for a R9. I had to space it up about 5mm and ended up with a easy to shoot 12 ft. lb. gun. It might not make the 12 ft. lb. class but at 805 fps it is nearly as accurate as a good PCP. I have shot high match scores with it against mostly PCP shooters.
For FT use don't get hung up on speed. 12 ft. lbs. is plenty.
Does JM currently have a TX200 tune kit ?
I didn't see one listed... I bought one several years ago and its great... forget what it was called... haven't really shot it much lately... but hope to get outside for some casual shooting with it again soon.
I have never tried the Vortex stuff... prefer to stick with JM if at all possible.
Jim Maccari does have a kit for the TX 200 mk 3 I just bought one and got the matched second spring with it. Comes in at about 13.5 ftlbs with 7.9 Crosmans . If ever there was a gun to try a self tune on the TX 200 would be the one. Very simple gun to work on and no spring compressor needed.

He may have had one last week or even 3 days ago, but when I looked 2 days ago and then again today I couldn't find one.
I already knew his site is like that, though. If something is out of stock, he may elect to remove the listing until he wants to build more--nothing odd about that. Or, sometimes he's in the process of modifying a kit, etc, and doesn't want to list the updated one until the new design is done and ready to sell. In other words, I'm saying I believe you when you say you just bought one, even though I couldn't find it today.
And, if it's there right this minute and I missed it, it won't be the first time I had to own up to my bouts of temporary blindness.

Just looked and you are correct, nothing listed. Best thing to do is send Jim an email. Make it short and to the point. Tell him what you want and he will send you back an answer. Don't know if it was listed when I got mine. I never looked, just sent him an email and told him what I wanted and two days later he sent me payment instructions.
