Been years since I shot anything. But I went over to a buddies house and he'd got a combination pellet/BB gun for the fun of it. So I picked up a Benjamin Prowler in .22 this morning. Figure we'll do target shooting.
Certainly different than what we had back in 2001. The kid/young guy advised his was very accurate, talking me away from the Ruger Air Hawk. (.177 vs .22)
Wondering if anyone has any experience with this one. For shooting he went with the 14.3g Crosman Ultimate Hollow Points and Ruger Superpoints.
Any advise/pointers?
Well, it was a good day. Didn't get around to testing the Benjamin. Finished up yard work and remembered the Crosman/Mendoza RM 377 in the attic. Got it out, cleaned it up, and decided I'd shoot both. Decided to use one of the old 8 foot tables with the 3/4" MDF top as a back stop. Grabbed a chair, took a cup of coffee. Put 4 rounds through the Mendoza at 20 yards before realizing they were going completely through.
I need some work but I felt pretty good. Figure tomorrow I'll attach some cedar as a backing for the MBF and try again with the .22.
