How do I remove the action from the stock? I took the stock screw out .And I took the front sling mount out,but that doesn't appear to matter.Does the guage need to be removed first? It will not budge. Also it looks like the safety button will not allow removal if I even get the separation started.I can't find a parts diagram for this rifle.

I don't have a Fortitude but it looks the same as a Discovery or Maximus.  You have to take the safety out.  I use a jewelers small screwdriver and pull the spring out far enough and the safety just pushes right out the big side.  You can see the spring right beside the trigger.  Good luck.

There's an excellent video on the Fortitude which shows how to remove the stock along with a full review here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2222&v=yNyS-khvTJ8

Thanks to Nervoustrigger for posting it here in another thread BTW.

As has already been said, the safety button needs to come out, as mentioned here in step #1...

I would find it helpful if someone make a custom stock for the fortitude and then posted a picture. ...anyone? ...do I have to do it myself? -Nate

Boyd's Already makes a stock which will work for the Fortitude (it uses the same stock inletting as a Discovery). I happen to have a Fortitude and a couple of Boyd's Stocks; I'll get some pictures.
