Was looking for .30 pellets today for a forum member (Pellets are for wusses in this caliber BTW), and came across this.  Who actually used this kit back in the day?  Let me know so I won't buy guns from you!  A rough steel cable with only bore bristles.  I've never needed to use something so harsh in airgun barrels for the last 30 years.  Why Beeman marketing such an item is another big question.  Obviously unused.

The steel cable, never ever, but I've used brass bore brushes with no issues or damage to my barrels. 18-20 passes with one and J-B Bore paste to clean out the factory gunk and rust inhibitor junk they coat them with, followed up with pull throughs and patches.

When asked on another forum, Motorhead himself has said with brass being softer than the steel airgun barrels are made of, you aren't going to damage a barrel using one.

I realize many won't agree with me and they're welcome to, but it's what I do, backed up by a very well known and respected tuner and has worked and well for me.

if you enlarge the picture and look at the top right-hand side you will see a light reflection and that light reflection is being made off the clear plastic cover on the cable i assume

a straight line reflection would be impossible off a bare cable
