A little bummed one of the photos is blurry, as there was very little time to look this rifle over again.  Oh well, you get the idea.  Been in storage forever.  .177 with a beautiful tyro stock installed.  Surface if flat under the forearm.  Does anyone know who made it?  The gun is heavy and looks great.  Never shot this one.  Atop is a BKL 260 with Bushnell 3200 duplex.

Very Nice!

are you a collector?

You have ave posted on at least 2 very fine air rifle examples and you state that you haven’t shot them.  Time to run some pellets through them, I say.

thanks for sharing!

Nice example, there...

The stock does kind of remind me of my Macarri stock for an R9, but the grip is a little beefier, more along the lines of how Abernethy makes them.

You are probably right.  JM and Mike Abernathy styles are very easy to tell apart.  I collect rare pieces that are not only functional but a work of art.  Unfortunately, getting the opportunities to acquire such pieces is getting harder and harder to come by.

I don't even see crow magnums or R-1's for sale hardly anymore.  Back in the day they were posted every other week.

They really dont come up very often...  The Crow Mag was another of my bucket list guns, but if you can find one now, you will pay dearly for it.

Some years back I sold a Macarri stocked R1 that I desperately miss.  Now that I think about it, that gun had a bit beefier grip as well.  Going to dig up a pic.  The stock was quite plain and not well finished... but still miss it.

I believe that's more on Jim's styling and checkering pattern. Mike's stocks were more radical in design, mostly in the grip area. Both did impeccable work! It is most defiantly not a Custom Stock brand out of the U.K.

And yes, Sonny has some of the best of the best springers!!

I can't say I've shot all the best springers but the R11 has always been a favorite of mine. That example looks to be top shelf.
