Finally found this gun after so many years in storage. Will post with the other Lasers (MKII & MKIII) as a set. Believe DualMag Mike on AGN is the only other person online who has all three (His MK1 has the forearm breech block ears cut off).
This is probably the most desirable Beeman R-1 in existence, behind the Beeman custom shop R-1. This specimen could pass as old, new stock.
Gun specs:
1. .20 - Grouped well with FTS pellets @ 25 yards.
2. Beeman 68R 4-12x40MM scope
3. Beeman rear replacement plate.
4. JM muzzlebrake with plug.
5. BKL 260 mount.
6. Quake bushwacker scope covers.
I remember begging the previous owner to sell it to me after he was selling another gun on Brad's site in the early 2000's. He eventually let it go for for $700 + ship.
Nice. That's what a Goudy stock looks like. Unlike the stocks Weihrauch made for Beeman.
@dualmagmike Thanks...My personal opinion is that light colored stock laser is a horrible design
@sonnysan Ugh! can't imagine who'd chop a rare and desirable airgun ever much less to ultimately look at an awful breech block. I wonder who's genius ever thought hey let's not add an inch or 2 more wood and look at chunk of square metal rather than a nice full forearm stock. ?
@sonnysan Hay I still have that pice,if somebody want to glue back on? Willy
they actually produced a carbine version of the Mk1 . You had to add a "k" to the order number. The stock did not cover the block in that version.@dualmagmike
@kingfisher YUK! I really dislike the look of the breech block showing which is why I always liked the look of the R1. I can't understand the thought behind NOT adding such a small piece of wood to cover many blocks. To purposely cut off wood to show the breech block brings a whole different level to things for me...
In the case of the carbine, I believe it is a case of function. I'm fairly certain that a carbine won't cocktail in a Standard stock. The chop was out of necessity.

I know for sure a carbine barrel will work with the standard stock with no issues. The breech block is the same on both.
This would be a great research project! I wonder why the decided to do only the Laser K guns to go that way? There must be some reason to make those stocks special.
I have switched barrels from rifle length to carbine length (and the other way around) on multiple R series guns with no problems (R1, R9, R10, and RX). Actually I don't recall any Beeman marked gun that didn't cover the breech block.
You are correct, I forgot about those and the standard R9's ?

From looking at Chambers part #'s, it appears that the R1/HW80, R9/HW95, R10/HW85 stocks are all interchangeable. Can't help but think that the barrel swaps would be the same as Jim said. I didn't look at the RX.
@colt1900
If anyone has a laser R1 they would part with, I am interested. Especially .20 cal.
