Believe all AW's were in .20 carbine.  I remember this one grouped best with Ram Jet pellets.  That was odd since FTT or Kodiaks worked best in my other R-1's.  Wonder how JSB's will perform since this gun was grouped way before they came out.

Scope is a Beeman 4x21mm SS-2L.  Rear replacement plate, trigger shoe, and CM brake installed.

IIRC, this gun was about 9.5lbs. without a scope.

Sonny do you still have most of your collection? If I remember right you had quite a few nice ones!

Ha! It's not for sale.  I did sell another one that had a few issues with finish, and it sold in about 1/2 hour.  Got good money for it too.  Remember around $600.  Forgot to mention this gun also has a Beeman professional scope stop behind the SS.

Yes, I still have the very best pieces.  Sold off the low hanging fruit several years ago.  The collection is under constant threat by the wife so she can buy more furniture, but I'm holding strong!

That professional scope stop was over kill but they sure were nice pieces. Wish I had a couple more but today's scope rings make them obsolete. A must have with the SS2 though.

Well then, you won the big prize because I tried Ram Jets in a whole lot of rifles, in more than one caliber, and not a single one of them got good groups with them.  I was drawn to them for possibly extra knock-down power from that uniquely-shaped head, but it was not to be in my corner of the world.  It's interesting to hear that at least one gun liked them.

I like the SS2 4 power scopes.  They are my pick of the Short Scopes.  Having a lighted model is pretty neat!

Very nice AW Sonny!  I have one with the gas ram system installed.  Superb shooter.

I only wish the stock wasn't so bulky.

Had one for years.  Great gun.  .20 really suited the R1 powerplant.  In retrospect, I probably would have preferred a full-length barrel, but overall, it was a wonderful gun.  But then I got ahold of a Diana 34N in .177, and liked it so much I sold my R1AW, for as I recall, quite a tidy sum!  That was YEARS ago, and I still have the 34N!

When were those made?

It seems like the newer Minelli stocked R1's are sliding into oblivion. I don't see any dealers stocking them, just the HW80.
