Bought this with a batch of guns from Skip Mertz around 2001-2002.  He never even fired it.  Neither have I!  It's been sitting on a shelf forever.  Are .20's in pistols more desirable?

Personally I didn't care for it in .20, I bought a .177 barrel for mine. Mine is marked .20 but they don't fit no mo.

Depends on what you want. Less loopy than a .22.

I have had several P-1s in every cal.  For the powerplant the 177 cal seems best TO ME !  It is all very subjective.  But then there are those who are just bonkers over 20 cal.

Marketing really sells to some.  Don't take the bait

Ernded up with an early P1….the dual power type (two set points as you cocked it) and both a.177 and a .20 barrel. Had more choices in 5mm pellets then, and it did shoot better as a 5mm than a .177, but not enough to get all serious about. Probably just the difference between any two barrels.

Pretty much a top lever/Webley type...piston running back at you, snappish recoil more of a dive than a jump, but could learn to shoot it as a pistol. Also why the dual power didn’t help, POI changed.

The low power setting would shoot higher….with the rearward recoil, would dive less, so pellet exited aimed “up” more at low power.

Marked .20 and with a .20 barrel, basically NIB, probably would be some interest in a nearly new one….aren’t as many 5mm fans, but those who are left are rabid fans.

Why not? Sounds like fun to me! Pretty accurate in .177 which I also prefer for getting longer distances but it's still the king of the hill spring pistol in any caliber. Lot of guys like the .22 for close in smashing. I may get around to a .22 myself just for fun. P1 is a whole different horse but if you shoot it enough to learn it, you'll see what it is capable of. Surely there's a .20 pellet it will like. 177's aren't extremely pellet fussy depending on the range...

If you don't like it let me know and I'll send you my address to help free up some space for 'ya.

the .20 would have been the least purchase P1, so it is rarer

the biggest problem as mention is the lack of pellet choices but the .22 is right there also, very few light pellets

as you go from .117 to .20 to .22 the snappy recoil gets less, making it easier to shoot

put it on Ebay and let them fight over it

for the powerplant 177 is perhaps the most useful but it sure is nice to smack cans around the backyard in 22.

I'm not rabid or a fanatic but have met any number of shooters who are. I do like my .20's though and own 8 of them. I also own 8 in .25 and 5 more in .22 with a pair of .177's to top off the list.

Never actually considered one in a pistol. I have a pistol each in .177 (P17) and .22 (Webley Nemesis) although they don't get shot near as much as my rifles do. Maybe one of these days I'll poke around for one in .20 just to say I have one...lol.
