I was going to do a quick first impression and here it is, I received the Athlon and compared it to my other 6-24x50 scopes in it's class which are the Bushnell Engage and Vortex Diamondback Tactical and Aztec Emerald both FFP and SFP I have and just for kicks my Leapers UTG full size 6-24x56 mildot and the Athlon can't focus clearly past 18x and there is chromatic aberration from 18.5x to 24x. There is NO COMPARISON when put up against these other scopes including the Leapers.
Did I get a dud or are all Athlons of this specific model like this?
My Leapers is the closest in comparable to this Athlon but the Leapers has less chromatic aberration than the Athlon at higher magnification range all the way to 24x based on MY EYES.

Just to clarify, the Aztec Emeralds I have (FFP and SFP) are both 5.5-25x50. I have the Aztec 3-18x50 also and that one is a lot clearer by a significant margin but that has a lower magnification range.
I took out the Hawkes I have that have similar variable zoom such as my Sidewinder 30 6-24x56 and Air Max 6-24x50 and both of the Hawkes are clearer than the Athlon.
I am still wondering if I got a dud Athlon... or is it normal to not be able to focus perfectly past 18x?
Such a shame since it goes up to 24x.
