I am wondering if the video from a scope cam (slowed down) might reveal anything about how my .177 Air Arms s510 is lobbing JSB Monster 13.4s vs AA Field Heavy 10.3s at 55 yards and different velocities (the s510 has an on-the-fly power dial). I do not feel I am not able to get the most information from my test groups as there are so many variables even when shooting off a bench indoors, most of which has been at only 25 yards in my past.
Would love to meet up with someone at the 100 yard indoor Bass Pro rifle tube in Grapevine this weekend as all FT and bench rest matches are cancelled. I am happy to cover the $16 per hour fee for the perfect weather conditions they will have indoors there this weekend! 🙂
If you are up for sharing some testing please text or call me at 972-259-7272. Thanks! -Paul
You bet! Not perfect but better than most facilities for my needs. It is only a single, 100-yard tube of concrete conduit with a target holder on a garage door opener but you can set at any distance (I bring a range-finder as there is no feedback from the system) and shoot undisturbed for your hour. They require bore sighting and you must use a benchrest off their table (I bring my own) but they have been very understanding and encouraging with my fully shrouded .177 barrel. I have reassured them their walls are safe when I show them my groups. 🙂 Take care, Orville, and hope to see you again soon at ASC bench rest! -Paul
