Got this on yesterday's shopping spree along with these two sets of rings (UTG Pro US Made 1" /2Pcs Med. Profile & high profile Poi Airgun/.22 Rings) :

I only plan to keep the set of rings that will accomplish what I want and return the other set. Should I do the lapping or send that back too?
All Accurized ZR mounts get their lower halves "TRUED", and there is a difference.
You can lap individual rings OUT of alignment if you do them separately.
Truing a set of individual rings means that they are set into the dovetail and at the right location, so that when the scope is mounted a maximum contact area is achieved as well as proper alignment between the two rings.
You would be surprised how many dovetails in guns do NOT align perfectly, nor do they keep the same all along the 5"-8" of length.
So, set the rings in place in the gun using the scope in a JUST snug hold to make sure that eye relief, is where it should be in all shooting positions , MARK that place in the gun and the location of the rings in the scope (white china markers are good for this), then proceed, making sure you cover/protect the gun.
Once you have the lower halves with 90% contact, you can use electrical tape on the upper halves and be done with it, or insert a thin spacer between halves to lap the upper halves.
What DEFINES the alignment of the scope are the lower halves.
HTH, good luck and keep us posted!

Thank you gentleman.
These are perfect. These are going to be great. I'm very impressed with them as far as fit. With Sonny's suggestion and Hector's procedure they appear to be well aligned, right out of the box.
