I've been shooting and setting-up targets at specific distances for a long time. But, just now I was measuring my indoor 'range', and a question came to mind:
When targets are set up at "10 Meters", for instance, like at the Olympics for instance, are they measuring that 10 meters to the target from a line where the shooter is permitted to place his feet?
...OR,
to the target from what is considered likely to be the end of the barrel of a rifle (or pistol, as the case may be)?
Or something else? Bottom line, I think I've been doing it wrong, albeit the difference between the two is pretty small.
Thanks in advance.
