A little help / advice please about my AA S510 bleeding/leaking air .
I've had this gun for a few years and it has been great. But went to grab it the other day and noticed that it has stated to loose air slowly.
I fill it to about 200 bar and it will slowly bleed down to about 100 bar and then stop.

Air Arms S510 | Gauge

My question is,,,, can someone advise/help me on how to fix/repair this problem??
Is there a seal kit that i can buy to do maintenance this rifle???  I have never done anything really to this gun other than clean it and clean the barrel as needed.
I'm not afraid the do the repairs myself but i would like some advice on how and where i should start.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes there is a seal kit you can buy and I think PA might have them. The S510 is an easy air rifle to take apart and replace the seals. Matt Dubber has a video on his youtube channel that covers the disassembly of the S510. Buy the kit and watch the video on how to take it down. Carefully replace the o-rings and use care during assembly so you dont damage the new o-rings and your S510 should be back to normal.

Hey thanks LDP.....
and i have watched some of  Matt Dubber/Airarmshuntingsa videos, they have good info.
but i did not think of PA having the seal kits. they did and i've placed on order.
so wish me luck.  it should be a fun project. and i think your right, the AA S510 should not be too hard to work on.

Start first at the fill valve. You can remove it fairly easily and check for dirt or a hard/deformed oring.

Out of several PCPs I've had, of different brands, this has been the most common leak point. And also the easiest and cheapest to fix!

I agree with Limbshaker.....

I would examine the fill valve first.

Then hook up your fill hose a few different times, and see if problem persist.

OK, thanks for the advise ,

I'll check it out.    Yeah, like i said, its a slow leak, not like its blowing out. you can't hear air blowing out or anything like that.

This JUST happened to me this past weekend. Would someone be so kind as to point me to the Matt Dubber YouTube video referenced in the string?

LOVE my AA S510 Xtra FAC.  Was shooting some new rounds in the back yard, and noticed I started firing "blanks"... which was weird; then I figured out my magazine wasn't consistently rotating in the new round.  Shortly thereafter I heard a hissing sound coming from the area where I loaded the magazine... and the dial on my gauge (no surprise) showed I was actively losing air.

SO - I found this thread.  I can't, however, seem to be smart enough to find the video referenced on YouTube to help me break down the gun to replace all the rings.  (Although likely it's the barrel seal - yes?).  I did find a seal kit on PA - at:  https://www.pyramydair.com/product/air-arms-o-ring-seal-kit-for-s400-410-and-s500-510-caliber-specific?a=7360

Presuming that's the right kit.  I have an email out to the team at P.A. to confirm that's the right kit for my gun.

Damn squirrels have apparently posted a sign that my AA is OUT OF COMMISSION because they've all showed up in the yard, flaunting their fearless enjoyment of my bird feeders, doing the backstroke in their tiny bikinis in my bird bath.  I must bring this madness to an end.

@docsengraving

wow! this is an old post.. i did get my leak fixed. mine was leaking from the seal that was between the airtank and the reciever. there is an O-ring there.
for me i had some trouble degassing mine because it would only leak down to about 100 psi and stop leaking. i just unscrewed the feed valve slowly.
i do remember having trouble removing the airtank from the reciever, think i had to heat it up with a hot air gun to get it screwed off. they used a little thread lock at the factory. i did not use any when i reassembled it.
for me it was the first time i disassembled it but it was pretty strait forward

hope this helps, good luck

New using here…. Searching for help on the same problem and came across this site/board. I’m going to attempt the barrel oring, that were I can hear the air escaping. I hope that’s the fit! If not I’ll be looking for some advice. Lol
