AEA Challenger Elite

This is the brand new regulated AEA Challenger Elite Big Bore Bullpup. This bad boy comes in .357, .45, .50, and .510 caliber. Unlike some other popular .50 caliber rifles, the regulator in this .50 caliber I tested keeps the FPS pegged at 900 FPS as long as it's on the reg. This big bore is easy to shoot...almost recoil-less. It also stacks .495-235gr Mr. Hollow Point airgun slugs at 50 yards. Hitting 3 inch targets at 70 yards was no problem. This gun does not shoot flyers. It also has an externally adjustable regulator! For sure the best big bore I have shot yet. This is a full review with a lot of explosions. Thanks for watching! -Nate

What is your opinion on the trigger? My AEA guns have way too much trigger weight. I've asked venders and been told nothing you can really do about it.

Title says no recoil.

An impossibility, unless the bullet stays in the barrel.

I did not notice anything wrong with the trigger but I wasn't paying attention to that detail. I'll take a look at it in the morning and see how it feels + test the pull weight.

@rikkochet ...with a light projectile it has the recoil of an unruly .25 cal airgun.  I was expecting a large kick like all the other 50 calibers. But compared to any other 50 caliber, this has no recoil.  It did kick a little more with heavier ammo. But I would say still 75% less than other guns.

My 223 calber AR15 has a buffer tube. So it is shooting 3000 feet per second and has no recoil. So it is possible. When I took the first shot with that Elite I looked over at it and I was wondering if there was a buffer tube in there. That was my first thought. ...but it's the muzzle break most likely.

Call me pedantic, but recoil is recoil, no matter how light it is.

A muzzle brake (not break) will reduce the recoil, but in airguns the weight of the air is significantly less than the weight of the projectile so a brake has little effect.

The shape, weight, and fit of the gun can have considerable influence of the felt recoil.

Thank you Nate. Looks like AEA is getting better with their weak point of heavy triggers.

My 9mm Terminator started in the 9lb range. Messing with trigger springs I got it into the sevens.

AEA Terminator | Trigger Pull Weight

On the HP .30 HP I was able to get it out of the fives into the threes.

Thank you again for all your reviews and follow up.
