Anybody have any experience with these?
Will it fill a big 88 tank 10 or 15 times without issues?
At $350, will they make a 88 tank obsolete, by simply filling the gun?
Thoughts?

i have one I bought off eBay for $338 shipped it has worked great so far I've mainly be filling my guns with it, but there's a group on Facebook called PCP Compressors, the good, bad and ugly that is a wealth of information there are some who are filling big tanks without any problems, you just have to keep your water cool most are adding ice or frozen water jugs that what I was going to do when I fill my tank. Hope this helps out go to Facebook those fellows are very helpful.
Whether it replaces a tank really depends on the individual shooter's habits. If you always shoot at the same place, like at your home, then it would be very convenient to directly fill the gun. But a tank will be much better for traveling, whether a mile or a hundred miles.
And if you shoot a big bore, you would be refilling the gun after every few shots, it seems a pre-filled tank would be much more convenient if shooting much at all.
But I'm glad to see the compressors get more attention from manufacturers, it may soon become cost effective for me to own one.
I have one. I really like it. I've used it to fill my 30 minute scba tank to 4200psi 8 times so far. It takes about 12-15 minutes to go from 2700 to 4200. The slingshot guy from Germany did a great video showing the inside of the compressor.
Best of luck,
Mike
Looks like the 220v Yong Heng has automatic shut off!
Im thinking that's the way to go....$289 for the 220 volt version!
220 volt probably runs more efficent and cooler as well??
Anyone have a facebook link?
I got the 110v with the automatic shut off feature. It's only a few dollars difference from the normal/simple versions.
The compressor itself works great and it is sooooooo good not to feel dependent on my scba tank and finding a place that will fill it.
Be warned, the parts in the pressure gauge are very fragile and if you're not careful the knob to tell it what auto stop pressure to stop at will be rendered useless and you will be offered a new pressure gauge. Don't ask me how I know! The compressor itself still functions fantastically! The auto stop for me was a let down but the company refunded me some money so I'm all good.
As a good practice I learned from others on the PCP compressor form on facebook, I shut it down every 10-15 mins if filling my tank and don't let it get too hot. Bleed the water/moisture valve every 5 minutes(doesn't hurt to purchase the gold water/moisture separator), and last but not least, I don't feel like I have to fill my tank all the way to 4500psi. I fill to about 4200 psi and try not to stress the little compressor out too much just to keep it's usable life as long as possible.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy this "air pump" It has given me dozens of fills on my guns and 2 fills so far on my carbon fiber scba tank.

My brother and I split cost to get one (110V, auto-shutoff), so far it is good. Filled 88 CF SCBA from 2800 to 4500 in about 20 min. Got mine from AliExpress, $355 shipped from China. Working on output filter/dryer.
You don't have to normally fill an 88 cf tank from empty...usually you just top it off when it drops down below 3K psi, or so.
Think of these inexpensive pumps as a high pressure hand pump with a little compression chamber, and an electrical motor to replace your arms. They get very hot very quickly when compressing air in that tiny cylinder, so cooling with cold water is a must...not running it for prolonged periods is another good tip. Some owners run it for 15-20 minutes, then shut it off until it cools down. Sounds like a lot of trouble, but prolonged heat equals short life span, and it can compress a lot of air during that 15-20 minutes of operation!
The key to filling a tank is to top it off frequently.
My most common usage is at a FT match, and for that you might be filling the gun 3-4 times. My 66 CF tank will fill my 200 CC airgun dozens of times, and it is portable. I'm expecting to fill an SCBA tank about once a month. I don't think that the compressor replaces the tank, as setting it up to run every time a gun runs low is a lot of trouble. Id' suggest an active shooter would want both a portable SCBA tank (maybe a smaller one) and a compressor.
Thanks guys.
I found the facebook link....
Lots of great people and experience over there!
So I made a wild ebay offer on the compressor, and bought one.
Should be here latter today according to the tracking info.
I went with the 220v with automatic shutoff and plan on buying an additional filter/separator too.
No more driving all the way across town once to drop off, and again to pick up my 88CF tank !
Hopefully this unit will pay itself off soon!
I received my Yong Heng 220v compressor from ebayer "happykisssoul".
It arrived quick and safe.
However it was suppose to be 220 and the plug looks like a typical 110v.
Have not plugged it in yet.
Some lack of communication with seller, but Im sure we will work this out.
Anybody have a photo of the 220v plug?
