It is a REAL BEAST to shoot! It is not even close to the smoothness of my UK Webley Tempest in 177. I can't see any "kin" to any Webley of any kind regarding this Typhoon. I don't even know why Webley would even risk their name and reputation with this pistol.

I was thinking it would be easy to shoot due to its semi recoilless sliding rail mechanism but I have a difficult time taming this BEAST which is currently made in TURKEY (not made in UK any more).

It is LOUD and delivers a VERY LOUD CRACK when shot. It is WAY LOUDER than my P17 which is already border line NOT backyard friendly IMHO.

Must be really mindful when shooting this one and definitely not during the early morning or early evening and NEVER in the whee hours of the night. I would say it is close to the power level of my RWS LP8 and HW45/Beeman P1 in 177 on high power setting based on the tree bark flying back which acts as a backstop behind  one of my target set up.

Cocking is manageable, but probably not for youngsters. It will build up pecs and forearms and your grip if used often even when using the supplied cocking aid for added leverage.

Trigger is pretty terrible and hope it will get smoother in time with enough shooting.

It is hard to predict and reminds me of the old Chinese spring piston guns back in the day.

The negative reviews about this pistol are all correct.

Bought it because I thought I got a good deal on it.

Specs are 500fps in 177 and 330fps in 22.

This is a good training pistol IMHO, if you can eventually master shooting this pistol, you should be able to shoot ANY air pistol accurately.

THIS pistol will put some serious HAIR on your chest!

I don't think there IS a UK Webley with rights to the name anymore, at least not with air guns.  I think a Turkish company bought those rights.

For some reason, I was thinking Hatsan was the name of the Turkish company who bought "Webley" air gun rights.

But, no matter, my experience with Turkish air guns has not been good.

That makes perfect sense now that you mention Hatsan, so that is why Hatsan seems to have FX rights as well since there have been FX/Webley guns in the past, "pre" smooth twist of course.

The PCPs are fine (HATSAN) IMHO for the price. The AT44-10 Tactical I have stacks them at 60 yards and reminds me of the FX 8 shot Webley PCP back in the day or an evolution of the Tarantula with 10 shot mags now instead of 8 and lowered the selling price as well.

Notice FX and Hatsan fill probes and magazines are mostly interchangeable.

Save money use Hatsan magazines for your FX gun. $20 vs $60 teardrop style wind up ones.

My Hatsan Flash Pup sorta reminds me of the FX T12 or FX pre smooth twist guns too.

Those Flash Pup magazines fit in many of my FX guns and seem to work fine.

Don't take my word for it.  It's just something that sort of flashed into my memory.  Maybe someone else can confirm or deny it for you.

well parts will be easy to find

maybe a longer trigger screw could help and a little grease between the sliding parts on the frame will help also
