Night time warriors, keepers of the backyard peace , care to share what you guys are using to monitor the perimeter ?I mean, do you have a motion activated mini camera that transmits directly to a small screen or to your phone? My 11 year old kid wants to do some ratting at night, but it is kinda of a pain to constantly be looking out the kitchen window. . Please share your set up.. .The more economical the better... ?..thank you,oh great night operators... .?

Blink security cameras. 2 in front, 1 side and the other gets mounted to a stick and put in misc places in the yard. Wifi signal so may not work for large yards. Goes to phone and I can watch a replay or tune live video. Hint: there is a light on the camera that can be turned off in the setting so as not to alert critters. Infrared camera works well enough then I grab Mr Airwolf with night vision and pedal some lead, tin, copper or what have you.  ?

This was not my idea, but I can't remember where I saw it posted. You take a driveway motion sensor and put he sensor on the inside of five gallon bucket lid. Cut an opening in the bucket and put the bait inside. When the vermin come in the bucket the monitor in the house beeps to let you know to get your gun ready. Mine worked great.

About $15 at Harbor Freight.

x2...a motion sensor like that ranks high on the fun per dollar scale.  There's one just out of camera's field of view that alerted me to this rat's presence:
