Diana Model 5G 10m/Sporter Pellet Pistol .177 in very good cosmetic condition other than some barrel finish wear (see pic) and otherwise good operating condition though it’s chronying far below specs so I’m guessing it needs new piston seal (Part PW036) (and possibly a mainspring – part M5033). The pistol otherwise operates normally and sounds normal but is chronying at 310fps with 8.18gr wadcutters which is far below the advertised 425fps. The spring and synthetic piston seal for this pistol are readily available from many sources and a seal is about $13 and the spring $15. This pistol is virtually recoilless but does NOT have the Giss double contra-piston action which I think confuses some people because of the 5G name. Since this pistol does not have the Giss system, it is far easier to repair. This pistol does include the original dovetail plate for adding a pistol scope or red dot (replaces the rear sight), and original (and rare) Diana muzzle brake, and a soft case. I will also include a copy of the original owner’s manual in English as a .pdf e-mailed to the buyer. This one is a definite collector’s item – especially in this condition. This pistol does have an interesting automatic safety that is located right next to the trigger.

Produced from 1978 until ?, it’s the updated sleeker-looking version of the Model 5. It has a 7” barrel, two-stage adjustable trigger, precision-cast alloy frame, and a plastic grip (smaller than the Model 5). 16.5” OAL and weighs 2.5lb. I am only selling this pistol to thin the herd as it’s a shame to let any of these iconic pistols fall into disuse – it’s time to allow someone else to enjoy it after repairs. A nice addition to your pistol collection and fun to shoot indoors or outdoors. The pistol is in overall very good cosmetic condition as shown in pics-- all my pistols listed (unless specified otherwise) are clean and in perfect working condition. As this one should be easily repairable by the buyer or a competent airgunsmith, I would choose to sell this on as is rather than have it repaired and then sell it for a higher price. Therefore, this pistol listing has been discounted accordingly.

This pistol has plenty of other info and reviews on the web so I don’t plan to provide any further dissertation extolling the virtues of this airgun, so please feel free to do your research to decide if this is an airgun you would like to own.
