From the FX website:
The FX Royale 400 is the result of years of research and testing as FX has continued to perfect and innovate what to expect out of an air rifle. The Royal series represents their finest sporter air rifle with features and quality that can only be found on an FX airgun.
The heart of the air rifle is the superb Royale breech block which has an internal regulator and valve system that provides consistent shot after consistent shot. The side cocking lever is effortlessly smooth which rotates the 12-shot rotary mag (16-shot in .177 caliber). The barrel is shrouded and moderated to suppress rapport.
The barrel is FX's state of the art FX Smooth Twist barrel. This barrel is an innovative barrel design that is essentially a smooth bore barrel for the majority of the length, with an aggressive twist/rifling at the end of the barrel to introduce stabilizing spin as the pellet leaves the barrel. The result is world class accuracy without diminishing power. This accuracy has been proven time and again at competitions throughout the world

Lightweight, enjoyable rifle. Selling due to declining health.
In excellent condition. Accurate. Can be used for Field Target. I used it for silhouette – my best was 60/60. For practice, I printed paper targets with animal shapes scaled to match those of silhouette metal figures, and placed them at appropriate distances. I frequently shot targets from the bench to test pellets. A couple examples are shown (chickens at 20 yards and sheep at 45 yards) to demonstrate what this rifle is capable of.
Includes one .177 magazine and optional FX loading tray for feeding pellets from the right. I believe the tray is for a .22, but works OK. I made one that allows feeding .177 pellets from the left (which I prefer). It also allows one to see that pellets are aligned correctly.
Last time I filled the air cylinder was 10 months ago. Pressure hasn’t changed a bit during that time.
