well it has a Walther barrel on it or what's left of it should have been 14 inches

and stocks we found stocks, very pretty stocks but no free

Chambers and Knibbs have no stock

https://www.customstock.co.uk/product-tag/airarms-pro-elite-stock/

https://www.dropbox.com/s/eimr36f9pvvewa4/Air_Arms_Proelite.pdf

just some help maybe

take care

mike

Air Arms part list a beech stock for 138.++ pounds in beech   BB445

that barrel would be 152.++ pound in .22 BB216B

100 pounds = $127.++-- USD

I bought a stock for my R 9  from  the UK custom stocks , it was very nice, I  was aware of  them.

I will look into the Air Arms spares, I wonder  if the shipping  is reliable

I measured  the barrel in my other pro elite it was 16''

Thanks  for the info & interest

shipping out of the UK is always great I have dealt with Chambers and Knibbs

your going to pay fair rates but you always have to keep the exchange rate in mind

I found the stock maker on UK Ebay

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/customstock0114/m.html?item=254192103503&hash=item3b2f07b04f%3Ag%3AvDwAAOSwQItUIbP5&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

the barrel length was taken out of the Blue Book as stated 14 inch Walther barrel the Pro Sport barrel is only 9 inch + or - so what you have might work just fine, make an end cap or make a muzzle brake to add a few inch for looks and cocking aid

that poor stock looked like it was used as a club and maybe it was

that's about all I have seeing that I know nothing about the rifle personally but I like to poke around and see what I can find

what else does an old man got to do

take care it should be a great project when finish, please show it to us when it is complete

Interesting video. What a shame that that PE was treated so poorly. I can completely understand your want to make it live again.  Refurbishing a rifle can be very rewarding.   It satisfies a need to create.

Personally,  some of my favorite air rifle projects have been refurbs.  I'm always horrified when I find what was once a stately and beautiful functional work of art in a state of wretched decay or tattered and shattered like that PE.   The ones that are salvageable seem to cry out for mercy! Lol

Anyway. ...what you are considering doing is IMO a good thing.  Older classic rifles are from a bygone age.  If you can keep one more around by breathing new life into it, kudos to you!

Hi John.

Finally someone who understands what we have here and well said .

I received Youtube response  saying ditch  the P E  sell it for parts  etc..  etc. but I expected some of  that.

I once received a pristine  R - 10 carbine  that arrived in a couple pieces due to a stupid pack job from the sender

I was  so  horrified  by it I  honestly think I got a  case of  Post-traumatic stress disorder over it .

This P.E. will get the star treatment, I spent a lot of time  making a hatsan magnum shine LOL

It will be sheer pleasure taking this  Diamond and restoring it to a proper setting  it deserves

Now I know  who Marflow  is,  I was wondering.

Really appreciate the  input &  info, I can tell already picking a stock  for this  is going to be challenging

but at least  it  is  doable ,  Mike the CS 500 stock looks close to the original  / My R 9  got the

C S 700 / out of the CS stocks which one do you  like  for the P E

this will be a great rifle when completed, I will look forward to see it's completion down the road

you take care Mike

Chambers won’t ship stocks to the US anymore. They still do parts though.  I tried to get them to ship a Walnut Webley Tracker and the shipping quote was more then the stock and they basically told me they won’t offer shipping stocks to the US.

It’s more difficult to get stocks out of the UK now. I bought a walnut stock on EBay for my Scorpion. I had a friend ship it and it never made it out of customs because it’s considered a firearm part. I ended up having a friend in the RAF that is stationed in San Antonio bring it back for me on his flight. If it hadn’t been such a nice stock I’d just have posted it on Uk EBay.

You might try try buying a second stock from Weatherby and having it inletted.

Mike, which stock did you get for it? I was thinking it would look pretty good in a plain CS500 (not the skeleton) with a rosewood grip cap. Can't say as I care that much for their checkering as the panels look too small for the stocks and I don't think I'd want the forearm covered up with too much stippling.

Hope you can get that barrel sleeve looking good again. If you can, you'll have a good looking, and cheap, Pro Elite. 😉

Hi Jim

I  took some time thinking about what stock  to get I already have  a U K custom stock for my

R 9  that was the  C S 7oo   with a rosewood cap . It was a toss up for  that or the C S 500 sporter stock  which I thought  looked  similar  to the original  with that in mind I opted for the thumb hole C S 700  wanting something new and cool

$322.00 shipped but I have yet  to receive a invoice for the grip can an additional 22.70  they may just toss it in

as ebay had best offer and I just used the buy now button

the walnut in the picture is not very appealing  but that's the stock has that AIR ARMS type  cheek rest.

s l1600

of course I would like to have this other stock but it belongs to someone else LOL

Cool. I'll be watching to see how it looks when you get it.

Followed Mike's link above to their eBay store. I might have been pretty tempted to go for their CS600 Tyro, lol. That looks pretty sweet.

Anyway, be sure to give us a "show & tell" after you get the new stock put on the PE.

HI Mike,  we have an artisan here in CA his name is Michael Mckeown. His web site is below.  He does repairs at a very reasonable cost.  He also heads up the west coast Airgun expo every other year.  He's a very good ambassador for us.

As always I enjoyed your video.

It’s more difficult to get stocks out of the UK now. I bought a walnut stock on EBay for my Scorpion. I had a friend ship it and it never made it out of customs because it’s considered a firearm part.

I bought a CS off of Ebay from the UK and had the same thing happen. It was odd in that the seller used Ebay's international shipping service to make sure this sort of thing didn't happen, but it still did! As far as I can tell, UK law does not consider it a firearm buy eBay doesn't know an airgunstock from an UZI. But I have bought from Customstocks directly and had no issues.

I don't know what the story is with that R9, but from what I see, I want it. Plus Kingfisher is asking about it, which means I KNOW I want it.

Ed, whatever John's offering, I offered it first.

It came from him,......  via the Prince of Austria.  Von  Scutzmiester.

there were only 3 that were tuned by the prince's master gun smiths.  After they were done he had them put to death so no one else would ever know the secret of how they accomplished such accuracy and sublime craftsmanship.  Somewhere out there are the other 2.  Keep your eyes open and be vigilant.

Mike,

In my case, the stock I got from a private seller just “disappeared.”  I got a refund from PayPal automatically and the seller got to keep his cash! I think it’s because he had ebay handling all the import/export stuff and they messed it up. The one direct from CS was no muss, no fuss.

whew  LOL/ I sent a email  to paul  of C S   U K  asking about the shipping issues.

I would think  they have it set in stone with customs  that they are air rifles only as  the website states.

I am still not sure  if I should of bought the CS 500  I am  worried about the  balance the CS 700  is one of the lightest  oh well  the C S 700  looks nicer Ill find out when its  all  together
