Should have bought the 177 LAMINATE HW30 Urban Pro FIRST...
Here is my recent purchase and had a Vortek kit installed (BIG Thanks to DON! who made 2 guns much better shooters). You know when you see something you want to buy then buy something else instead you got a problem AFTER THE FACT! This had been purchased after the "SCREAMER" HW30 Vortek with regular deluxe stock I posted below,
May get 10-20fps increase in speed after broken in. Vortex kit installed by DON. Here are the first 11 shots on paper after it was sighted in using a Burris Timberline 4.5-14x32AO with a chrony string shooting 7.87gr JSB Exact Express straight out of the tin at 20 yards in windy condition from a rest.
I was waiting to do a swap with you for my HW50s Hunter for your nice Laminate HW30 Urban Pro but when you told me you were never going to sell it, I just had to buy one for myself since like you mentioned to me, they are keepers!
I think I am probably going to have DON install a Vortek kit in my 50 too.
I can tell you for certain that I have a much easier time hitting things I aim at with the HW30s than the HW50 that's for sure. And I can shoot the 30s all day long with no fatigue, unlike the 50 where it is significantly harder (for me) to cock all day long to shoot and it is a little jumpy when shot. I think I need to be in better shape to shoot the 50 or I may be just too used to shooting my 10 meter match rifles. Just got another Diana 75 and shot it a little and that gun is probably the easiest springer rifle I have ever shot accurately with little to no effort putting my FWB300s' and all my other 10 meter springers behind it especially with power similar to the Vortek HW30 (my higher power first "screamer" version). Nothing compares to it. The only thing I don't like about the Diana 75 is that it is kind of loud, not really offensive but louder than what I feel confortable shooting without worrying about anyone hearing me and I am probably going to think of putting an LDC on that one.
I think the Diana 75 would fare pretty well in today's competitive shooting IMHO.
