Pellet tin holder
I was at the EBR last week and saw this. I normally use a ammo box but liked this for the compact size and firm grip on the tin. It's just a Plano fishing line box.
Works great for pellet tins too.
Thanks for the heads up on this. Got mine today via Ebay! Sweet
That sucker is heavy with 6 full tins! Me likey!
Waiting on a 100 yd Sports Tape from US Tapes now 😉
Looks like the perfect carrying case for around 3000 pellets or so! I don't have a need to transport that many pellets at one time, personally.
I guess if you needed to transport two or three different pellet weights, in a couple of different calibers, at one time though, that would come in really handy. Nice that the tins fit like a glove!
All my pellets are either 500 ct. .177 or 250ct. .22's. I'm thinking my tins are smaller than what you describe. I saw some Plano spool boxes at Walmart and it looks like the spools they hold are larger than my tins. I did not check the model number of the Plano boxes however as I did not know which one you had until I found your topic this evening.
My .177 500 ct. tins measure 2-5/8" (67mm) in diameter.
Great idea by the way!
Fuss - Thanks for that pic. Tells me what I need to know.
Frank - I saw that holder in one of your other posts about it. Man, that is one great deal. Very cool item. Wish I had the time to browse around Goodwills and pawn shops. I bet there are some very good finds out there.
Frank, that is an awesome find!
Dennis, glad I could help bud.
Can't remember where I saw it but a fellow airgunner was using these old vintage Kiwi shoe polish towers to store pellets at home. Wish I could find the original picture of his loaded with pellet tins, but these would be cool if you can find one for a decent price on Ebay.
The pellet tins seemed to be a perfect match for the shoe polish tin size.
That is......a LOT of pellets!
I could actually make something like that I think, but I only have maybe 8 tins of different pellets right now. Obviously, I don't shoot much (but I do a LOT of tinkering with my guns). Would rather have them closer at hand anyway, but that is a cool idea as well. Interesting how one item is perfectly sized for an entirely different purpose.
Thanks. I made that back in the early '90's when I had my custom cabinet shop. Was kinda into golf back then. Never really got into it, not like these AG's!! Thought I might be able to sell these things, but would have to charge around $250 (in those days dollars) to barely make anything on them. I still have a box of parts to make about four more of them.
Tell me about AG's being expensive. I'm an addict. I have about 34 guns now. Was thinking just today....buy a gun..buy a new scope for it....buy another gun.....scope for that.....new/better trigger for the first one..........buy a double rifle case for them, then do all of that about 12 more times, and that doesn't include the pistols.
