If you ever wanted one, now is your chance. Check out the price champions choice has them for. Got one myself. Not going to lie though, I'm considering cancelling my order and purchasing something else.

So, then, if you don't mind my asking, I just gotta ask: why the cancellation?

I always thought these were over priced but 300 bucks under PA is pretty astonishing  and a good deal

Wow, that price is even much cheaper than Krale's price, and they are sold out.

I forgot to ask a question.  Do you or does anyone else know if the design or QC problems with some of the brand new guns being delivered have been rectified?  IIRC, the velocity of many of them was low, suggesting some sort of sealing problem.  Has anyone bought a new one and found it now delivers the velocity that it should (within reason, of course)?

Interesting. I was not aware of any QC issues. May have to report back If I decide to keep.

I had one,and the ones I have seen and herd about have massive barrel  droop.

The bluing is also different on many parts, it's nice but not the same on many parts of the gun. Like they came from different suppliers.

I never could get the gun to shoot better than 3 inches at 50 yds.

I have two 124's and a 127, all are much better guns than the new sport that I "had" !

good luck with yours, they are a elegant rifle.

If it won't shoot right it's going back.

Would you be nice-enough to provide more details?  I work on springers, as well as recommending (or NOT recommending) certain models to my customers and friends.  I haven't seen one yet, and I try to keep track of such things.  Thanks.

Ed

I sent one to Flintstack for his "testing".  He did a comparison with the original FWB124 out to 50 or more yards. It's in the archives.

The one I sent him needed the barrel bent ever so slightly.  After that, it was a laser!  Hopefully yours will be a laser right out of the box.

Thanks JC, you gotta have faith in FWB.  If I remember correctly the orig. 127, and 124 had some pretty bad piston seal issues and negative reviews when they first came out.  Dealers couldn't  give them away.  Airrifle headquarters saved the day with their replacment parts.  I know FWB has been reading the forums and reading the reviews. I believe this new price point reflects their commitment to getting it right.  Not many folks would fork out $800 for a gun with bad reviews.  But rework some of the details at the assembly plant, and get the price down and people will take a chance.  I BELIEVE!  Come on when was the last time FWB built anything to a price point.  Never.   Their Germany way of thinking just doesn't work that way.

Of course in the off chance it's a POS, chalk it up to experience.
