I get it, but I don't.  That thing looks more like an appliance than an air rifle.

THIS is what an air rifle should look like.

Haenel301

1930s Haenel Model III.  Steel, timber and hide.  Serviceable with a single flat screwdriver.  And still going strong.

I understand the PCP bullpup craze, but I just don't subscribe to it.  I like my guns to look and feel like guns.  Call me a Luddite.

Yes, definitely Czech Republic. Bullet Project SRO the holding company, run the CZ Taipan operation (manufactures the Taipan under licence), AirgunRoyal, Valiant Optics and a pair of fairly large online retailers of airgun stuff.

Nothing to do with Kral.

Utah & Talon are supposedly the US distributors now.

I was at Utah Airguns today and they did confirm they will be selling these guns. They also carry Taipan and Vulcan. Look awful similar.

Just a nerdly comment -- Newtons and kilogram-force are very (!) different units of pull weight, since  1kgf = (nearly) 10N.

So that spec...

Trigger resistance (N kgf): 0,5 - 1,5

...is (to say the least) a bit ambiguous, although the range of numbers pretty strongly imply the correct unit was kgf = ~2.2lb.

Interesting they mention TAIPAN 6 times in there guns description , but don't tell you about there gun definitively ... or they saying it's similar / same as the Taipan ?

The modern Bullpup system is known for moving the magazine and chamber behind the trigger. The rifle may be shorter but the length of barrel remains the same. This will maintain accuracy and range and gain less weight for better control. Bullpup is mainly famous cause of the compact dimensions. Taipan itself is characterized by great workmanship, making it even better than other expensive rifles. It is also characterized by high quality materials and maximal accuracy. This is mainly provided by CZUB and Lothar Walther barrels. Taipan can be used with single-shot tray or magazines. In packing, you can find a single-shot tray and two magazines. Cocking through the side lever is very smooth and comfortable. Taipan comes with two main innovations. The first concerns cocking area. Thanks to a special mechanism, barrel can not be blocked caused of a double feed. The second thing is a new air port, which is ideally and constantly pushing the air into barrel. An important prerequisite in the manufacture of this part was to avoid deformation of pellet, as in the standard solutions. And thanks to this a unique shape has been created just for the Taipan. At the top of rifle we can find a classic 22mm weaver rail for mounting optic system. Compared to previous models, it is inclined by 20MOA. Rail is made from one piece and therefore it is in the same axis with barrel. Taipan is already equipped with a great internal silencer, which will provide sufficient absorption while shooting. Large-volume air tank of 292 cc is located under barrel. It passes through almost the whole rifle and ends with a Wika manometer. Current pressure is marked in BARs unit. Filling is through classic quickfill probe which is supplied with rifle. Taipan is known for one of the best trigger mechanism which offers variable resistance and dropdown adjustment. Manual safety can be found in the trigger guard. Whole stock is finished with rubber butt plate

Nothing wrong with the car or the gun, it's just that a few things have changed in the last 70 years. 😎

•I like the larger airtube, 350cc.

•I like the forward side lever.

•I like the big magazine with anti-double feed.

•I like the 20 MOA rail.

•••BUT what's up with the size...? 32.7" / 83cm ?!? 😟

—> After most bullpups are under 30" — I thought progress would be to make them smaller instead of three inches longer — while keeping power up...?

Just sayin' — to me bullpups should fit into a regular large suitcase for airline travel, or into a backpack....

Otherwise I might as well get a regular sized long gun....

Me thinks, that is. 😊

Happy shooting,

Matthias
