If you are going to install a regulator on a Gen 1 Marauder would you still want to use a HDD also?

Thanks,

David Enoch

Hi, David,

I believe the answer is yes-for more tuning info you should visit the Marauder forum  http://www.marauderairrifle.com/forum/index.php?sid=c05e7d1f1003c04566ec8532cb902d9f

Best of luck!

John

What John said.  Whenever air utilization efficiency (a.k.a., shots per fill) matters, hammer bounce is the enemy, making HDDs the shooters' friend.

David,

It depends on what power you want to shoot it at.  I have a Gen 1 Marauder set up for WFTF Field Target competition, set at 12 ft. Lbs.  With the combination of parts, and adjustments and tuning the way I have it, no hammer debounce device is needed.  I explain all this in several of my rebuild videos on my Field Target Tech Channel on U Tube  I just used my Marauder in the Crosman All American Field Target Championship, and held my own with National and World Champions.  Any questions, or if you need more details, give me a shout.

I use a HDD w/out a regulator (Gen 1 25 cal.) and installed a light weight hammer...shot count increased dramatically.
