I'm sure I'm not the only one with a few hobbies. Those that have many,  probably look at some aspects of unrelated hobbies and see applications that the purest wouldn't. RC has tools , bearings and fasteners that cross over quite well to air guns.

I just received an order today that I thought I would run by everyone. I use these guide rods for quite a few things. They are 36" long and are easily cut to any length you find convenient. You can see I attached a $2 threaded eBay mirror to one. I may try to make a lead lap with one of the threaded metal rods and after pouring, slide the plastic sheath on to protect the barrel. I circled the threaded end in yellow.

I've found them handy to clean shrouded guns. I pull some doubled-up monofilament through a plastic sleeve, insert a folded patch, capture it, add your favorite goo and pull through. Rinse and repeat.

We were instructed to stick a plastic straw into the muzzle of a TX200 and then insert your pull-through into tht the straw which would easily get the pull-through into the barrel. Same concept...Yep the TX200 is shrouded..

Stay safe and free..

What I like about this over the straw is that you can control the patch from breech to muzzle.
