Found a fellow from Russia selling these conversions for the IZH 60/61 so figured I'd give it a go.  Easy install, very minor modifications.

Adjustable reg. Right now, I left it at low powered so hitting around 480fps with 7.9's.  I just got it installed yesterday. Held pressure overnight.  Haven't tested further.  Need to cobble up something of a shroud though, more for looks than anything.

All in all, a unique and fun little plinker.

I'll hit you on PM as I'm not sure if a link would get deleted here.

Wow Rob!  That's pretty cool.  While I am reticent to mess with my steel-receiver 61, I am open to modifying my clone TR5.  Any idea what the threads are in the valve?  I'm asking because I would LOVE to make this gun run on Daisy 2.5oz CO2 tanks.

More deets please!

Wish I'd have documented the install, but I was just excited to get it together.   After ordering, the seller quickly shipped.  It got out of Russia and to New York within days.  Then it sat... and sat.  Next status showed New Mexico.  I'm in North Carolina.  Next day showed California.  This was on a Friday and so I figured on Monday I'd call USPS.  By Monday it was in the United Arab Emirites.  Then back to Russia.  Apparently, USPS couldnt figure out that it was going to NC.

So the seller had to send it out again and fortunately, this time it made it to me.

The piston and spring was removed, of course and a small device with a spring and a new cocking arm was installed.  At the front, a small cap was placed that the air cylinder will thread in to.  Looks to be the same as a CZ200, but I'd have to check that to be sure.

If it makes you feel any better, this is totally reversible and you can go back to stock easily enough, assuming you can find the parts afterwards... 😉

Can you give me a link?  My brother lives in Germany and spends half his time in Russia, (Rostov,) so he may be able to get one for me.  Not sure about shipping it out, but worth pursuing.

I guess that's really cool, and I wouldn't mind having a 555k. I have several Baikal models and every one is a winner.

But, I might be the only person on the whole internet who wonders if converting one of the most shootable spring rifles in the world into a tank-or-pump-dependent PCP is actually an "upgrade". I know there are some things we do just because they can be done, and i don't blame anyone one bit for trying it. No snark here.

But I just love the IZH-60 the way it is, and I shoot it much more than any of my PCPs, 'cause I can.

It does make a nice-looking conversion, and thanks for posting it.

You're exactly right in that I'm not sure if it's an upgrade, but it is a conversion.  This was one of those things that was done just because I can and because it's unique.   Shot it a bit yesterday and was doing really well with it on small spinner targets.

I've got a couple other Baikals and they do well.  Right now, I'm trying to find a piece for a 514k that I've lost so I can shoot it again.

Actually I have an old and ugly Crosman 150 that I thought about converting into a drone-based rodent control system. I am pretty sure this makes me a bad person and illegal in 48 states. But it would be highly cool.

There are things you just do because you can, and I respect and admire that.
