HW30s Urban Pro Goes to the Beauty Parlor.
so you start a thread somewhere else and post the results here, I'm glad I read a lot of forums been wondering how this turned out
well in any case it is good that you got that LDC end cap off the threaded barrel and the CF look great
and you look younger then I would have thought
and after looking it is Urban Pro model and only sold at AoA
have you ever looked at Krale
Not so at all my friend. I posted the results first on that same thread on the other forum, just scroll down and see. Actually have more pics there.
Funny, that is my 12 year old son. My ugly mug is out there if you look hard enough.
Yea, it’s an exclusive to AoA, picked it up used a while back. I since installed a JM kit, and now this. I’m very familiar with Krale, have bought both my LGV Master Pro from them.
I have the same gun (Urban pro with laminate stock) that now has the same LDC. In my case, the previous owner removed the factory one and put on a muzzle brake, so I didn't have any torch-related drama. Nevertheless, mine is also undergoing some aesthetic changes (which I will post here if I ever get it done...)
This might be a dumb question, but where did you acquire the carbon fiber "shroud." It seems easy to find 16mm ID carbon fiber tubes, but I've not seen any 15mm. Or is this just 16? And how easy is it to cut and install? Any tips? I like the look.
how did you cut the carbon fiber tubing and yes you did, I saved that post to see how it worked out but didn't look before I posted here
well in any case heat will defeat glues, sticky stuff but with care just got this tubing for my Chaser project, about 10 days to the west coast and shipped in a hard cardboard tube looks nice
I used a 16mm because that’s what I already had from having done the LGV in the same fashion. Just wrapped the barrel with a plain sheet of paper to the correct thickness and installed the tube.
Tube is very easy to cut with a hack saw and a miter box.
Here’s a 15mm from Amazon. They have a lot of options.
I do like how it came out. There’s a couple more benefits. The Tanto is a bit more aggressive looking vs the plain Jane looks of the OEM. It’s shorter now, more maneuverable, just as effective, and the CF tube give more girth to the barrel, making it easier to grab on to and load.
