Looking for some input. Would you pick a Crosman 2400 KT with the LW barrel  or a Diana Chaser kit? Not sure if I will do some upgrades or not but I definitely want a moderator and the Diana comes with it.

I got a Diana Chaser kit in .177 and out of the box it shots hole in hole @ 15yrds indoors and 35yrds max backyard. If crosman can convert from pistol to carbine and pellet impact is louder than it's actual report plus can do single and repeater at same price point then Go with with the 2400 KT. I have a crosman 2240/50 that I modded to carbine HPA and came out 3x what I paid for my Chaser that I can get 45+ shots/cart.

I’m thinking 2400 because I could eventually change it over to HPA is that a reliable thing to do or dose it blow seals all the time?  Thinking that if I want to go HPA I may be better off with a Discovery or something of that sort.

Crosman is .177.  If you buy a base 2240 and convert it to air and carbine, you'll end up spending more than a bottled airgun  or PCP. If you want to tinker and not mind the cash flow, crosman is a good base with good parts support to experiment.

MAYBE a stupid question, but ¿Why not buy a Bandit pistol AND a Chaser pistol-rifle kit? (I would choose different calibers).

For under $300 you will have a LOT of parts to "mix and match". Like buying two LEGO sets and having a go at your build imagination.

Later on you can add the regulator, because the Bandit already has the front  manometer/fill unit.

A LOT of possibilities.

You can even add a Stormrider, or a Trailscout, and have even more combinations.

Just an idea.

Keep well and shoot straight!

Hector there are no way to go forward on customizing a Chaser or Bandit until some source gets some parts in stock

the are no barrels other then the Stormrider barrels, 2 breeches and  barrel bands

no LDC's or stocks or grips or sears or barrels, hell a Bandit barrel would fix a Chaser but there are none

what about O-rings screw this or that, oh that's right there are none

what about the camo stocks that are in Canada,  out of stock and Krale sell them on there Artemis CP2's

so the bottom line is go all in or just do the half a$$ job the sellers are do now

where are the parts                    there is I thing about the good old 2240 platform, the parts are everywhere

the Chaser and an other Chinese Diana product will be a bleep in history and the Crosman 2240 will be a part of history

I own 3 Chaser and 12  2240 custom pistols

So Hector I ask one more time where are the parts

oh by the way I just got off a live chat at PA there are no parts  and I'm here to say that is pathetic

@marflow

Thanks for the info definitely going to go with the Crosman  my goal is to get to around 700 FPS. Planning to changed the valve and probably run a bottle with HPA. But quick question is it worth the price to get the Lother Walther barrel? Would like a 16-18” barrel but they only make the LW in 14” on the Crosman custom shop

Marflow;

I KNOW that there are no SPARE parts, that is why I suggested getting two guns.

DIANA cannot offer what the maker doesn't want to have on the market. Simple.

We cannot offer either what is illegal (LDC's).

Yes there are no more regulators at PA because they sold three times faster than they expected.

O-Rings just need to be measured and ordered from a supply house. There are no proprietary O-Rings, some of them may be harder to source, but not impossible. Same for screws.

In a way I agree with you (specially the "bleep", good way to put it), and we're taking measures. We cannot, however, make the maker do what they do not want to make. It's the problem inherent in depending on outside makers.

Keep well and shoot straight!

How about Chaser rifle barrels with the "permanently" attached factory moderator? I would buy one in each caliber, right now!

I agree with Marflow. Parts availability for the crosman is crazy. You can find anything you want.

Can you use some Stormrider barrels?

If so, drop me a line through the PM's.
