I’m looking at getting either a 1300 or a 2400 in .22 with the idea to upgrade and pin the valve so that I can shoot HPA. What is the easier gun to make the conversion to.

have no idea how you would do HPA on a 1300 which is a multi pump gun

I think if you want to go HPA you would just build it yourself

you can buy longer tubes, get a 1701 trigger group, pick a breech and barrel the right type of valve

but that up to you but still if you get a custom shop gun you will be taking it apart and redoing it any way just build it your self

@marflow

Thanks for the info I definitely will compare prices my one concern is the  barrel because the custom shop ones can come with the LW and any place I have seen to order a LW barrel have been over $150

Max-Flow System for Crosman

http://alliancehobby.com/lwbbl.htm

but it's twice the custom shop cost

so if you were to go to the custom shop and get plastic grips, 10.1n LW .177 barrel, long breech and silver muzzle brake you at 141.03

so if you go to hobby and get an aluminum breech and LW barrel that 150.00

there are several ways to go about this get the co2 gun and build as you can or just go for it

there are 3 levels on a 2240 build

breech, barrel, sights or scope

the tube, valve, hammer ends and hardware

the grip frame

oh there is hardware that is needed but how do you do the build buy something like the custom shop and then just tear it apart and use some of it or just go for it and buy what you want

of course the bottom 2/3th of the custom shop gun could be sold

but there is a the problem where do you stop and start

how about do a HPA in BNM

Welcome to BNM Custom Airguns

or is it cheaper to buy this

https://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Benjamin_Marauder_PCP_Air_Pistol/2367

I love the 2240 pistol platform I have a 12 custom pistols they are fun to build, mine all co2

good luck with your project

Mike

The 2400 would be the way to go if you want to eventually go hpa.

I've done 4 or 3 of these conversions, still have one 2400 that turned out well -

Well I actually have an offer on the table to buy a Marauder rifle. Just trying to figure out how to best fill it. Not really wanting to do a hand pump but I live in a small town and have not had much luck with A compressed air source.

@ole2008

Maybe you can find a friendly fire department. Make a donation every time they fill for you.

The only other option I can think of is to get a 110 volt compressor designed to fill rifle reservoirs but not tanks. This option is less expensive than buying a compressor dedicated for filling tanks.

I’m currently trying to get it set up so I can rent a Compressed nitrogen tank and get a good regulated fill set up so that there is no issue with over fill. Just having trouble getting the suppler to call me back.

Ok so finally got ahold of the guy about a 4,500 tank but it would cost $100 or more to fill. And would be very heavy for moving around. So that’s out. Guess I’m back to hand pump or finding a tank.
