crosman 1720T huma regulator
Will the Huma reg that fits the prod fit the 1720T ?
The same Huma regulator is sold for the prod and the disco/maximus. But the disco version comes with a lager plenum, because the disco makes more power and so needs more air.
You want the prod version.
If you open up your TP to match the valve (.110) you can turn the pressure on the reg to 110 bar instead of the 130 bar it comes set at. This will give you a few more shots and a nice shot cycle.
I'm getting 32 shots at 13.6 ft/lbs average with only a 10 fps ES. 3000 psi fill and 1400 psi end pressure.
The prod and 1720 series are set up perfect for the regulator. Just toss the gauge and block and you don't loose any volume.
I've never really had to clean my regulator, you might need to if you think you have a particle in the reg. If you use a clean dry air you shouldn't have to rebuild unless you notice a large velocity spread increase.
Rebuilding is easy with snap ring pliers, clean rag, brake clean and silicone grease.
I have a huma set at 1450psi in my wife's 1720t, bored TP to .125, lightweight hammer and I'm getting 50 shots 10fps extreme spread at 11.9fpe.
