Benjamin bulldog with pitbull mega mod , what a world of difference that made
I can stand in the backyard now and shoot without alarming any one any more. So glad I made the purchase.

Have you considered putting the regulator on it. I understand that it quiets down the action considerably. That's my next addition. I read that they were special made by HUMA specifically for the Bulldog.
Funny thing is that between the mod and the reg, I'm spending nearly as much as I paid for the rifle!! But to justify it. I would do the same to a high end rifle if needed.
Thought I would re-start this topic.
Pitbull make three moderators: Short, Long, and Mega. According to the site, the 'Short' does away with earplugs, the 'Long' makes it backyard friendly, and the 'Mega' makes it indoor friendly.
Just installed a Mega Moderator on my Bulldog. Not planning to shoot it in the house, but I wanted maximum quiet. While it is a bit quieter with the Mega installed, I still need an earplug in my right ear when shooting.
To test what a neighbor might hear I had a friend shoot it while I was 10 yards away. It is still very loud even when standing in the yard 10 yards off to the side. Shooting it in the house is absolutely out of the question.
I wonder if Pitbull would look at a baffled shroud that takes up the entire length of the barrel similar to my Cricket, HW100, and Marauders. There is just so much air coming out of that 9mm pipe that the Pitbull Mega baffle box is not large enough to really make it backyard friendly, let alone indoor friendly. Wish I had that $200 back.
Maybe when the leaves come back on the trees it will seem quieter. As it is now, this is still a range or woods only gun.
On the upside: Shipping was fast, installation was easy, and the process is reversible. A little spritz of Armor All on the dovetail groove will help the parts slip together more easily. I streaked it in with a cotton swab, let it dry, and slid the parts home with only hand pounding for the final seating.
