Hi guys, it's been a while since I posted, life kinda got in the way.

Been back visiting the folks since due to a medical paperwork problem I was not able to work for a bit.

Anyway hunting season has started and finally some good weather.  However I have a question. Since it is deer archery season, should I wait until deer season is over before I go after the squirrels?

I have not really hunted public lands much but the land around my parents house got sold so hunting is much restricted, and I thought id give some public lamd a try.

DNR rules says rabbit and squirrel are from Sept 15-march 31. So legally I can, however is it considered bad form or manners to small game hunt during deer season?

Go for it and good luck! Just wear plenty of hunter orange so you aren't a statistic.

Most deer hunters just hunt 2 hours in the morning and 2 in the afternoon.  If you head out at 9 am you shouldn't disrupt anyone.

Thanks guys. I just dont have a lot of experience hunting public lands and did not wamt to be "that guy"

I did see a few squirrels but could not get a shot. Problem was once you got off the road it was pretty wet. Some places past the knees in water. All that rain flooded the little streams and made the woods look like the pics of the georgia swamps. Sadly I do nit have good rubber boots so I got water logged.

Hopefully things will dry out and I can get some squirrels .
